Who writes Nudge?
We do. Some of us changed our names, but everything you’re reading is true. We’re people from a smattering of different walks of life, united by a desire to try and figure out how God actually works in the grit and dust of every day living.
How’d you decide which topics to write on?
In 2004 The Center for Bible Engagement in Lincoln, NE started research on what keeps people from regularly engaging the Bible. Our list of topics is drawn from the top 25 most oft-cited obstacles people gave us. It’s a pretty interesting study, so help yourself to the results here.
Why do you want feedback?
We want to make sure Nudge is the best it can be and your feedback helps that happen. The info from the star ratings at the bottom of each Nudge and the “feedback box” show us what’s effective and what’s not.
Why don’t I get Nudges over the weekend?
These are meant to make you think, go get your Bible and read, listen to God, all of which can be done on Saturday and Sunday without an email from us. And we needed a break and thought you’d want one too!
Is there a way I can see Nudges I’ve gotten in the past?
We don’t archive past Nudges, because we’re hoping that this is a journey–a way to move forward. But, of course, if you’d like to re-read a Nudge and it’s not in your Inbox, you can contact us at info@nudgesite.org and we’ll hook you up.
Can I write for you guys?
We’re open to ideas. Send a resume, along with some submissions to: tylerh@backtothebible.org
What translation of the Bible to you use?
The New Living Translation
I don’t really agree with some of your content.
That’s not really a question, but we get it. What we’re trying to do with Nudge is not necessarily write pieces that everyone will agree with–we want to start conversations, not finish them. If a piece of ours got you thinking, or drove you to the Bible to look deeper, or seek God for answers, then that’s a really good outcome to us writing something you don’t agree with.
Can I subscribe to more than one track at a time on Nudge?
Well, we think one Nudge a day is probably plenty. You’ll get a notification when the track you’re on is done. It’ll automatically start over unless you sign up for a different track–and we hope you do.
